Leo Goode

Bio

Leo Goode is an award-winning artist from Western Pennsylvania. Goode has studied with and learned from several world-renowned artists.  He is a member of the following organizations: Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Society of Artists, Pittsburgh Watercolor Society and Pennsylvania Watercolor Society.

Leo draws inspiration from the serene and sublime rolling hills of western Pennsylvania. He believes that painting from real life is the best way to convey the beauty and freshness found in nature. Leo loves to use color and the effect of light on color as a means of expressing his artistic impressions in his landscape and floral paintings. Hints of Impressionism give a powerful emotional element to otherwise purely Realist paintings. He hopes to reach his audience with a truthful yet interpretive rendering of his subjects.

Leo Goode's Awards include:

  • Grumbacher Gold Medallion Award – 1st Prize
  • Western Pennsylvania – Best in Show
  • Winsor & Newton International Art Competition Award
  • Aqueous Open International Juried Show Finalist
  • American Impressionist Society National Juried Exhibition Finalist
